Watch and teach your dog to clear jumps like a champion, conquer the A Frame like a fearless warier, weave through poles like a superstar, run through the tunnel like a rocket and most importantly, build memories and a bond with your dog to last a lifetime as Jackie will help you learn and master the essentials during the dog agility course.
Dog agility is a fun, fast-moving sport in which the handler must direct their dog through and over a series of obstacles using commands, body movement and hand signals. Located in Sittingbourne, Kent, this is a specialist agility course that holds a maximum of six dogs with their owners, giving everyone plenty of one-to-one time and the flexibility for you and your dog to work at your own pace.
There is no glass-ceiling when it comes to dog agility, from the dog who fits into a handbag, the dog who can rest their head on a dinner table, the dog who isn’t best known for their speed, the dog who has a never ending supply of energy, the dog who has an endless supply of affection for their owner; we support all students on our agility class as Jackie is here to guide and teach all owners and dogs around the specially crafted agility course and to the finish line. The only stipulation is that the dog must be at least 12 months old which is purely for the welfare of your dog, preventing any muscle or joint problems.
Starting your dog agility journey? Had experience before? This class is for all levels as both dog and owners will learn new or improve on existing skills with tips, training and confidence from Jackie, enabling all participants to nail the agility course in an extremely fun and rewarding environment.
Dog agility will give your dog plenty of mental stimulation, working them physically and mentally so each week will see gradual progression in areas such as the jump heights being increased, pause box sessions increased and different variations of the dog agility course. You don’t need to be a world class athlete to do agility with your dog, Jackie will teach you tried and tested techniques, help you develop good communication with your dog and all the fundamentals needed to comfortably become part of the sport of agility.

What you will learn
The dog agility course begins by starting the dogs on low jumps and obstacles. The height or width of the obstacle is then slowly increased as training and skills progress.
- How to navigate through the various tunnels
- Sit or lie down for a set time in the pause box
- Master the perfect weave through the poles
- Triumph over the A-frame and dog walk
- Jump and clear the long jump
- Balance and master the see-saw
- Dog agility commands with skills and techniques for owners

Dogs start their dog agility training on a lead with positive rewards that includes praise, treats and toys.

Essential information
- Dog(s) should be 12 months and over to book onto this dog agility course. However, if your dog is under 12 months, please contact us 07939 755872 for advice before booking.
- Please do not arrive before the time stated on your receipted booking form. Please meet in the car park area, Jackie will then come to meet and greet you.
- Owners will need their own dog(s) as this is a practical course and only the enrolled dog can attend the dog agility course.
- All dogs must wear a collar, be on a lead or harness/head collar and wear an identification tag. All dogs need to be fully vaccinated/wormed and flead.
- As this dog agility course is held outdoors, you are advised to dress to suit the weather conditions. You will need to bring sufficient dog treats for your dog. Also, please remember to be a responsible dog owner and clear up after your dog, so plenty of poop bags/plastic bags/etc.
- If your dog comes into contact with any infectious/contagious diseases or conditions before the dog agility course starts (such as kennel cough or mange), you need to have your dog checked by a vet before bringing them to the class.
- Dogs and owners use all the equipment at their own risk.

General Information
Jackie is a fully qualified animal behaviour trainer (with over 20 animal related qualifications within her sector), a registered accredited Animal Behaviourist (ABTC) and a registered Animal Training Instructor (ABTC) . Jackie has worked with problem behaviour and training cases since 2004 and runs her own training and behaviour business along with a Diploma in Teaching in Lifelong Learning Sector and holds a Qualified Teaching and Learning and Skills status. Jackie has also written articles for dog related magazines and animal related websites
