Teddy’s Top Training Tip: Where to go and what to do for the summer holidays – enjoying days out with your family and your dog.
Summer has now arrived and along with school holidays, it is sometimes difficult to find events or places to visit
that are not just dog parks or your usual go-to place to walk your dog.
Having a puppy/dog does not mean you have to stop going to places, far from it, well-mannered puppies and dogs
are permitted in many areas across England.
From visiting local cafes for a coffee and catch up with friends, after a lovely walk in the countryside can offer
your dog some different situations to experience.
It is important to do your homework, as not everywhere allows a dog and remember a dog should not be left in a
car.
Let’s look at some well known places where dogs/puppies can visit:
- English Heritage – they have many dog-friendly sites all over England where the whole family and your
dog can enjoy a day out. Why not visit their site to find out more: http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/inspire-me/dog-friendly-properties/ - National Trust – they offer not only lovely places to walk your dog, but places to stay too. Check out their
site for more information: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/for-dog-walkers - Visiting the seaside – we all love to spend time on the beach, but dogs too can visit some areas or some
beaches all year round. Find out if there is a beach near you that you can visit with your dog:
